Tunisia Economic City Signs MOU with Dubai Investment Development Agency

Tunisia Economic City signed today a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Investment Development Agency, an agency of the Department of Economic Development – Government of Dubai, to cooperate in supporting and developing Tunisia Economic City project and to benefit from Dubai’s experience in economic development and to attract local and international investments.

Mr. Fahad AlGergawi, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Investment Development Agency and Dr. Riadh Khalifa Toukabri, President and Founder of Tunisia Economic City signed the MOU during a reception ceremony at the offices of Dubai FDI agency, Dubai Government, in the presence of His Excellency Adil AlOtaiba, President of Amplex Holding Investment, Mrs. Alya Juma AlGhawi, Executive Partner at Partners Investment, Mr. Waddah Al Jabi, Representative of Tunisia Economic City in United Arab Emirates, Mr. Nour Jabi, Dubai Branch Manager of Tunisia Economic City and Mr. Fares Al Smadi, Media Consultant of Tunisia Economic City.

Dr. Riadh Khalifa Toukabri stated after signing the MOU: ‘Dubai experience is one of the most important economic successes and closest to Tunisia, and it’s an honor for every Arab citizen. This agreement will assist us in benefiting from Dubai’s experience in attracting large international investments to develop the segments of Tunisia’s economy through Tunisia Economic City, and our vision at Tunisia Economic City matches the global pioneer vision of Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum’. On his part, Mr. Fahad AlGergawi stated that ‘Dubai welcomes the agreement with Tunisia Economic City which complements Dubai’s experience in its outstanding success in attracting vast global investments and in becoming an international economic and tourist hub’.

A committee for follow up and coordination was agreed to be set up.
